MTMS Children's Choir

The MTMS Children’s Choir, led by Meredith Wanstall, provides an opportunity for children to learn fundamental musical skills in a group setting. Young musicians benefit from learning music they would not normally encounter in their lessons, with genres ranging from Classical to Broadway to Canadian Contemporary. Children can look forward to developing their singing tone, breath control, and ability to read music through fun games and activities, in addition to the engaging repertoire. Our singers also deepen their love of music through better pitch and rhythm awareness, improved listening skills, and - best of all - performing as part of a team, forming friendships for years to come.
Ms. Wanstall's breadth of experience through her years of both performing in many choirs as well as currently conducting the Bach Children's Chorus ensures all singers will have a positive, constructive and fun rehearsal and performance at MTMS Recitals. This fun opportunity is open to all students ages 6-13.
Rehearsal are on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 at the school. There are two sessions that will be running this year:

  • October 13-February 2, February 3 performance (12 sessions) for $165
  • February 23-June 9, June 10 performance (11 sessions) for $150

We look forward to hearing this beautiful music come to life!

Coronavirus Update, An Open Letter

This is David Stone, Director of Midtown Music School. As we all have seen, circumstances have changed dramatically. All schools in Ontario will be closed for three weeks, all major sports leagues are cancelled, Broadway is going dark until April 12th.  It is important during these uncertain - and unprecedented - times that we do our part to continue to live our lives as normally as possible.

With this in mind, the staff and I at Midtown Music School are going to do our utmost to help keep music as a regular part of your lives. In advance of these upcoming weeks, I wanted to help get everyone on board with how we will be able to keep the music going.
