Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass)

The Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass comprise the String Family of instruments. String instruments are among the oldest and most revered of the orchestra. They are capable of producing almost every sound to elicit almost every emotion. From sweet dulcet tones to soaring romantic melodies, the string family is among the most versatile instruments today.

Our teachers have studied their instruments for many years, and have been involved in many orchestras and ensembles. As well as being in the Annex Quartet, our Strings Faculty have performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Canadian Opera Company Orchestra and the National Ballet Orchestra among others. They have performed on almost every continent and in prestigious concert halls like Carnegie Hall in New York. Most importantly, they are thrilled to share their passion for their instruments with students, helping students prepare for any musical endeavour.

In addition, Midtown Music School is pleased to offer in-house instrument rentals through Remenyi House of Music. Please let us know if you require an instrument. We will be happy to set you up with the right instrument for your needs!
