Our popular Mini Recital series is back for another year. They are a smaller-scale performance opportunity at our school for students who wish to play before the main recital dates, or simply wish to play for a smaller audience. Performances start at noon on specific Saturdays. The dates for this year's Mini Recitals are:

  • November 29, 2014
  • December 13, 2014
  • February 28, 2015
  • April 25, 2015
  • May 23, 2015

There is no cost, as these performances are covered by our $10 annual performance fee. Feel free to play in any or all of these concerts! We look forward to hearing our students showcase their talents.

We had our annual Winter Recital last week, and what a recital it was! As you can see, the event was packed - standing room only. As such, we're going to have multiple recitals going forward, so watch for that information soon. In the meantime, click on through for some great videos and pictures.

Welcome to 2013! We're glad to be back at MTMS, just in time to remind everyone that the festival/exam season is upon us.

We definitely like to do things a little differently at MTMS. But we believe this performance is a world's first. From our Bursary Fundraiser Concert, teachers Peter Cosbey and David Stone (off-camera on the piano) and student David J perform the Sonata in g minor by Eccles. This piece was originally for violin, but annexed by cellists everywhere. As bass repertoire is a little limited, it's been adopted there as well. However, we're quite sure nobody has ever performed it on the electric bass guitar. The incredible results are but a click away!
