Capes for Kids 2018!

It's that time of year again: Time to wear a cape and raise money for Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. And like last year, there are prizes to be won, including tickets for Toronto FC! Read on for details, and donate here.

Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital - Canada's largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital, in Toronto - does so much work that largely goes unrecognized. Their work gives children back their quality of life - letting kids just be kids. From children who have had traumatic accidents, to medical issues from birth, so helping children through difficult stages of development, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is an amazing place that changes lives every day.

From the Director, David Stone:

It has changed the life of one of my kids. He has struggled with his gross- and fine-motor skills development. But thanks to skills and confidence he gained with the occupational therapists and other support workers he worked with, he just completed his Level 1 Red Cross swimming badge! This kind of confidence and pride helps shape kids for the rest of their lives.

To help raise money, I will be wearing a custom-made cape for the week of March 5-11. Everywhere I go. And I do mean everywhere. Well, maybe not the shower. It probably shouldn't get shampoo on it. But otherwise? All the time is cape time.

You  can be a hero too! Together, we will:

- Help kids and teens move, speak, play and lead through therapy, programs and services

- Enable research that is changing our understanding of autism, or perhaps your gift will fund innovative technologies that will change the future for kids and teens with disabilities

- Support programs and services that help families to stay strong, stay grounded and to keep going

FINALLY, THE PRIZES! This year, if you donate $50 or more, you will be entered into a draw for a pair of tickets to the Toronto FC game on March 30th! In addition, we will also add another prize of a free one-hour lesson with me regarding anything David can teach for another winner. Good luck, and thank you for your support!
